Defensively United were found wanting as the Worksop striker took advantage scoring in the first minute and adding a second on the quarter hour. Lawrence Davis pulled one back for Leeds when he steered a low cross from Ian Harte into the net not fifteen minutes later. Worksop soon retaliated as Campbell found the net just a minute later. Dylan Kerr made a guest appearance for United as he tried to get himself fit after being released by Reading. He took over from Ian Harte at Left Back and John Butler replaced David Wetherall at Centre Half at the same time. Stephen Briggs took over from Paul Evans in goal in the seventy-fifth minute and he was between the posts when Clark completed his hat-trick in the final minute of the game.(Crowd courtesy of Steve Barnes)
